Challenges Faced
In a competitive European market where sky-high return rates are common, Foot Locker wanted to reduce fit-related uncertainty while boosting user confidence in a diverse product offering across three separate branded sites: Foot Locker Europe, SIDESTEP, and Runners Point. Foot Locker needed a versatile and accurate sizing solution that was already optimized for all European languages and which could offer the same great user experience for different customer bases.
Solution
Thanks to a hassle-free integration process, Foot Locker went live with Fit Finder on all three shops quickly and smoothly throughout the busiest part of the retail year. Fit Finder’s support for multiple, fully-localized European languages also meant Foot Locker EU could be certain its geographically diverse range of users would experience the same great sizing experience in their native languages and benefit from increased confidence around fit.
Results
By taking the guesswork out of shoe sizing, Fit Finder delivered a consistent increase in conversions and decrease in returns across all three shops. Over the 6 months of the test, Fit Analytics delivered a 3.38% increase in conversion rate (CR) for Foot Locker EU, a 13.04% CR increase for SIDESTEP, and a 5.82% CR increase for Runners Point.
Results were equally impressive on the returns side of the equation: Foot Locker EU saw an impressive 13.55% reduction in return rate (RR), SIDESTEP RR decreased by 6.61%, and Runners Point RR decreased by 7.39%.
